The grantees in attendance will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and give brief descriptions and updates on their Sloan supported projects.

11:30 am-12:30 pm — Science Meets Film: Case Studies

The teams behind two successful Sloan supported films Experimenter and Operator will present an honest account of their journey, from the inception of the project through production and distribution, including their collaboration with science advisors.

A spirited conversation on the future of immersive storytelling as new VR and AR technologies emerge, between renowned music video director and virtual reality pioneer Chris Milk and award-winning designer, academic and experiential media creator Alex McDowell.

Join us for a preview screening of Alexandra Dean’s Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story, followed by a conversation with an esteemed panel of women in science and film.

Passholders should be in the theater by 7:00 pm to ensure seating. Admittance to this event is first-come, first-served with RSVP.
