Brandon Okafor is an undergrad college student with a chip on his shoulder. He is devastated when he learns that a close peer stole a project idea of his, and won a school award for it. Once he gets over his anger and hurt, he meditates on what project to do next and in order to help him move on. Then it clicks. He decides to follow the path of his prophetic dreams to build a replica of Benjamin Banneker’s wooden clock. Along the way, he faces hardship and learns about faith and forgiveness and what it means to operate on borrowed time as a Black man with aspirations.
