Synopsis

Persie is a mycologist who studies how fungi facilitate communication in the foggy, moss-cloaked forests of the Pacific Northwest. Eight months after her husband’s death, she encounters a dying old-growth forest, contaminated by the leaching of heavy metals from a nearby old mine. She immediately seizes the idea of using super fungi to heal the land. However, the mechanics of Mother Nature and her own mourning prove far fickler than anticipated. To pull off her ambitious project, Persie is forced to venture beyond her grief-imposed isolation and enlist the help of her community, including more than a few eccentric mushroomers from the local mycological society.
