Writer, La Forza
Justine Beed is a writer-director born in Washington DC and raised in 7 cities around the world. After graduating from Stanford University with a blue-skied Anthropology degree she moved to LA — both the strangest and most familiar place she’s ever lived. She’s worked for filmmakers, podcasters, and 8-year-olds, and recently completed her MFA in Production at USC. Her screenplays and short films are all feminist, genre-bending coming-of-age stories about the power of cross-cultural connection. From the world’s first female professor battling the cult of celebrity to a pair of spy sisters tracking down their ex-CIA father, her characters are self-destructive and tenacious people in search of their version of home.
