
Writer, Push It!
Mirella is an award-winning writer and filmmaker who began her journey in journalism, where she drew inspiration to adapt culturally significant and thought-provoking true stories to the screen. She completed her MFA at NYU’s Tisch School for the Arts in Dramatic Writing and was invited to a number of fellowships including Film Independent’s Episodic Lab (with her first Sloan project, Seven Eternities), and The Athena Film Festival Episodic Lab (with Push It!). She was invited to pitch at the North Fork TV Festival, and was made a finalist at Sundance. She directed and produced “Lady Electric,” a lauded short film.
