Brandy N. Carie is a playwright, screenwriter, and librettist. Winner of the 219 Sloan/CMU Screenwriting Competition and the Kennedy Center ACTF Steinberg Playwriting Award, Carie has also been supported by SPACE on Ryder Farm, the Edward Albee Foundation, Barter Theatre, and Actors Theatre of Louisville, among others. Her commissioned opera with Ramin Akhavijou, Nasrin – Censored, will premiere in Philadelphia in fall 2022.
